30-day minimum stay — this property is set up for extended Montana stays, not weekend getaways. It's worth confirming availability windows before planning around it.
Located in the Alta Views community, 5 minutes from downtown Whitefish and 20 minutes from Whitefish Mountain Resort — well positioned for both ski seasons and summer access to Glacier National Park, 35 minutes away.
Community clubhouse access is included — the Alta Views Clubhouse offers a hot tub, fitness center, pool table, and ping-pong table, which covers the amenities that aren't built into the unit itself.
No private hot tub — the hot tub is shared through the clubhouse, not on the property. Worth noting for anyone expecting in-unit access.
Sleeping setup is a king in the en-suite primary on the lower level and a queen on the main level with a detached bathroom — functional for two couples or a small family, though the bathrooms aren't both en-suite.
A loft above the main level adds flexible space — suited for kids, a reading area, or an overflow sleeping nook, with Flathead Valley views.

With over 3,000 acres and ranked #3 Resort in the West by Ski Magazine, Whitefish Mountain is not to be missed. Whitefish Mountain Resort, referred to as “Big Mountain,” is a beautiful 20-minute drive from the home. You won’t want to miss the spectacular views, so bring everyone along regardless of skiing ability. After a great day on the slopes, make sure to stop in town to take in some of the great restaurants and shopping that downtown Whitefish has to offer. - In the summer, enjoy Whitefish Lake, Flathead Lake, Flathead River, and Glacier National Park. Check out a local rental shop that has motorized boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards for rent. Make sure to call in advance to ensure you find the activity you're seeking. Getting to the property

- Montana is Big Sky Country and the best way to explore all its beauty is to have your own car. We highly recommend a 4WD vehicle in the winter and guests of Big Sky & Whitefish do have several shuttle options if your preference is not to drive. Make sure to reserve your rental car early. - Getting around Whitefish and to Whitefish Mountain Resort is a breeze with the FREE snow bus! The snow bus is a free shuttle service during peak winter and summer seasons. There are stops all around town and on the mountain. Whitefish also has Uber, Lyft and Taxis.

Guests & Occupancy

  • Primary Guest must be 18+, must match the credit card holder, and must stay at the property for the duration of the reservation. Reservations for unaccompanied minors are prohibited and will result in eviction with forfeiture of all charges.
  • Occupancy must not exceed the number stated on the reservation; no exceptions.
  • Primary Guest is responsible for all occupants and invitees, including damages, violations, and charges.
  • Additional unapproved guests may result in extra per-person charges, fines, or eviction without refund.
  • Residential use only. No parties or gatherings unless pre-approved in writing. Violations may result in eviction and additional charges.
  • Property must be used lawfully and with care; misuse of appliances or systems resulting in damage will be charged.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Only allowed in designated pet-friendly properties with prior written approval + $200/pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $1,000 cleaning fee + eviction without refund.
  • Service animals: Allowed with required documentation; Guest responsible for any damages or additional cleaning.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited. Evidence of smoking results in a $1,000 cleaning fee. No incense or oil lamps.
  • Illegal activity: Strictly prohibited; may result in eviction without refund and additional charges.
  • Fire hazards: No candles (except approved outdoor/emergency use).
  • Vehicles: No RVs, trailers, or campers. No vehicle repairs on-site.
