Neighborhood: Carnelian Bay - This beautiful condo is located in the sought-after Carnelian Woods, an area surrounded by trees, so you can enjoy the beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings just minutes from your door! Near the house, you will find an endless network of National Forest trails perfect for walks, runs, and bike rides in the summertime. Just a 3-minute drive, or a short walk, will take you to Patton Beach, a dog-friendly beach that is great for swimming. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a 4-minute drive from the home. - In the winter months, you are only 17 minutes from Northstar, 23 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. Those wonderful trails on the National Forest system near the home are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months. - If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 13-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 9 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues.

- There are two spaces outside for guests. They are right outside the unit's front door. - If applicable, Guest may be responsible for the loss of any parking passes/permits in amounts up to $400 per pass/permit.

Things you need to know

There is no daily housekeeping service.

While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property unless used for amenities outside the property, such as shared hot tub and pool areas. Please return the linens in the Property after use.

Guests will have access to the entire home as well as one parking space in the parking lot in front of the home. Guests will also have access to a range of incredible amenities, there is something for everyone at Carnelian Woods! Enjoy the many seasonal amenities that include a pool, tennis courts, a bocce ball and volleyball court, a playground, and a range of games such as a ping-pong table and a horseshoe pit. On nice days, take your exercise outside on the par course, a one-mile loop fitness course with 20 stations. The hiking enthusiasts will love the fact that a trail runs adjacent to the home and connects to a forest road and trail to the Tahoe Rim Trail. For those traveling in the winter months, you can enjoy several year-round amenities located at the lodge which include a gathering space, a pool table and game room, hot tubs, and a sauna.

Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.

The hot tub is only available in the following schedule: Available in both summer and winter. Mon–Thu: Closed Fri–Sun: 12:30 pm–8:30 pm During the next 2-3 weeks, roof work will be underway at the Carnelian Woods complex, scheduled for completion every day, except the 4th of July, between 8 am and 6 pm. Please note that there may be some noise during this period.

The pool and lap swim are closed for the season and will re-open after Memorial Day 2025, depending on snow and weather.

The hot tub is currently open on weekends, with expanded hours planned for ski season.

Tennis courts are available seasonally but currently lack lighting, and the lodge is open daily with hours depending on staffing, offering equipment like bocce balls, volleyballs, and an outdoor ping pong area for sign-out.

Please note, there is no barbecue area available for renters. Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

Restrictions

  • Minimum night stay requirements vary by home and time of year.
  • Smoking is NOT allowed inside the Rental Property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged to guests if smoking inside the Rental Property occurs or evidence is found of smoking inside.
  • People other than those included in the Guest Count may not stay in the property. Any other person on Rental Property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
  • Excessive noise inside quiet hours are not permitted and will result in eviction and cancellation with no refund.
  • Rental Property is privately owned; Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the Rental Property or its facilities.
  • The Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest and Rental Party.
  • Guest agrees to keep the property and all furnishings in good order and only use appliances for their intended uses.
  • Water and Septic: The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper.
  • Renter(s) are responsible for themselves, their family, and guests at all times. Children should be supervised at all times.
  • If Rental Party exceeds the maximum occupancy Guest will be asked to leave the Rental Property with no refunds. Infants under 2 years are not counted.
  • At least one parent or adult must be present at all times when children under the age of 16 are in the Rental Property or using any of the outdoor facilities such as the Hot Tub.
  • Owner/Property Manager is not responsible for money, jewelry, or other valuables lost, stolen, or left behind in the Rental Property, but will use their best effort to remedy the situation.
  • No rowdy behavior is permitted.
  • No subletting of the Rental Property or assigning of this agreement is permitted.
  • Please note that we charge per guest after a set number. Please provide the entire group count in your reservation request. If an update to the group count is needed after confirming the reservation, the reservation cost may increase.
  • Guest agrees to follow all local, state, and federal level mandates, restrictions, or public health orders.
