Our stay at Branching Out has now raised the bar as the baseline mountain experience we’d like to repeat. There is a warm ambiance about this home that greeted us at the front door - and only got better inside! For us it was just the right blend of rustic-contemporary decor. So many little things in this home make a big difference! The layout is well-designed and highly functional - especially for larger families or groups because of the two king bed suites with private baths and the upstairs sleeping areas. Also, the game room upstairs is a natural gathering spot for kids of all ages. The huge windows in the great room, the screened porch, and observation deck are just right for enjoying the great outdoors without ever leaving the house! We loved the convenience of the location - so close to so many restaurants, Lake Lure beach, Chimney Rock - all within a 5 minute drive. All said, Branching Out is just an über fun place to be. Well-done on all fronts for both our wishes and needs.

Things you need to know

This Property is stocked with an initial supply of a variety of items and amenities including, but not necessarily limited to: linens and towel set (per guest), dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, sponge (or dishcloth), laundry detergent, shower gel, soap per sink, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and recycling bags. You are responsible for any additional supplies of this nature that need to be replenished for your use during your stay.

All properties provide standard-equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers and cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the owner and are not accessible to Guests.

Restrictions

  • Minimum night stay requirements vary by home and time of year.
  • Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, 2024 through the first quarter of 2024(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season.
  • Parties, loud noise, and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords.
  • Within forty-five (45) days of your departure, Management inspects the property for damages, including those that may arise from any permitted Special Events.
  • Do not congregate out of doors on the property ‒ including front porch, yard, driveway, or in the open garage ‒ after 11:00 PM on weekend evenings (Friday, Saturday and before federal holidays) or after 10:00 PM on weeknights (Sunday through Thursday, aside from federal holidays).
  • Do not exceed the maximum occupancy in the home at any time. No third parties (people not staying at the property as guests) are allowed without express written permission.
  • Do not wander around or explore the neighborhood or the woods unless it is clearly a common area in the community. Property lines are frequently not clearly delineated and trespassing onto neighbors’ yards is not permitted.
  • Be considerate of your neighbors by maintaining the volume at which music is played at reasonable levels at all hours, especially when playing it out of doors.
  • Maintain general courtesy for neighbors as you interact with them.
  • Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction.
