Neighborhood: Hapuna Beach Residences - Just steps from your door lies iconic Hapuna Beach—voted #1 Beach in the USA and consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world. - You’re just steps from the Hapuna Resort restaurants, with room service also available. A short drive—or possibly a hotel shuttle—takes you to the renowned dining options at the neighboring Mauna Kea Beach Hotel (advance reservations are highly recommended). - The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - Minutes away are the Kings Shops and the Queens Shops where you can find super-market, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens Shops. They include groceries, restaurants and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000 foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

This was a PHENOMENAL location at which to spend a vacation week. The beach may be the nicest I've ever experienced in the world, and to be just steps away from both it and the fantastic facilities of both the Westin Hapuna and the Mauna Kea was incredible. Our unit was beautiful, with incredible views and top-of-the-line amenities. The staff was super friendly too. I've stayed at a lot of great places over the years across all of the Hawaiian islands and had many amazing experiences, but this is now my favorite. Mahalo!

To use of the hotel privileges at the Hapuna Westin and Mauna Kea Beach hotel. The fee is $150/ day, plus tax in 2026, for the entire group (Not per person) and is paid directly to the hotel. This includes use of the hotel pools, fitness center, beach chairs, towels, hotel charging privileges, and discounts for golf at both the Hapuna Westin and Mauna Kea Resorts.
Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy so upon check in the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack and play, high chair, bedrails, toilet training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other items are subject to availability.
