Neighborhood: Mauna Lani Resort - Paradise Garden Hale is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both Auberge and Fairmont Hotels. A short drive away are the six (6) of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea beach. The Kohala Coast is a golfer's paradise with seven (7) challenging courses all within 7 miles of our villa. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens Shops. They include groceries, restaurants and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000 foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

Fantastic experience! This was our first time travelling with an infant so having the extra bedroom was a must. High chair, pack n play, and audio monitors made the place feel as convenient as home. The home itself was well decorated and had every modern convenience you could think of. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was functional, and the garage had every possible beach supply you could want (wagon, snorkelling equipment, bikes, inflatables, coolers etc.). Location was excellent as well. 2 min drive to main shopping area that had nice grocery store and restaurants. 2 min drive to fairmont hotel for more nice restaurants. Access to beach club was great for beach days. Pool was a two minute walk away and always had ample space. Our flight was at 9:30 pm so we made arrangements for a late check out. Hosts were flexible and accommodating - which made a hectic travel day with an infant that much smoother. Overall amazing experience - will for sure book again with these hosts!

This home includes FREE Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort passes in 2026. The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort was voted the #1 resort in Hawaii by USA Today. Normally, resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child, but when staying at this home, use for up to 8 people is COMPLIMENTARY with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon for snorkeling, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle. It also includes a 10% discount on Spa Treatments, 10% discount on Lagoon toys and Cabana rentals. Guests love this resort pass, which gives them the best of both worlds with hotel privileges and a comfortable, well-equipped vacation home.

Children under 5 do not count towards 8 people.

Staying in KaMilo gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, a free form pool, and kiddie pool. You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Napua Restaurant just two miles away. Excellent snorkeling in calm waters!

The two TwinXL beds can be combined as a King with a high-end topper.

Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy, so upon check-in, the fridge does not have any condiments.

Pack and play, high chair, bedrails, toilet training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids' kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other items are subject to availability.
