Neighborhood: Buttonwood Reserve Located one mile from the village of James Cistern, which has grocery stores, restaurants, a liquor store, and town dock where you can at times purchase fresh fish. Three excellent restaurants are within walking distance of Buttonwood, including LeoRose, Delish, and Mels’ Snack Shack. Famous Stubbs Barbecue is two miles up the road. The island’s main town, Governors Harbour, is a 15 minute drive. The main airport is a 45 minute drive from the property. A small airport is just 5 minutes away. Governors Harbour has restaurants, grocery stores, several gift shops, and a lovely collection of historic homes overlooking the harbor. Live music is available most evenings at one of the restaurants or little resorts.

Getting to the property
Car is recommended. Located 200 miles southeast of Miami and 50 miles east of Nassau, Eleuthera has three airports: Governors Harbour (GHB), just 10 minutes from Buttonwood Reserve, North Eleuthera (ELH), half an hour from Buttonwood Reserve, and a smaller airport at Rock Sound, an hour to the south. Getting to Eleuthera is easy with daily flights to Govenors Harbour and North Eleuthera from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Nassau on Continental Airlines, American Airlines, BahamasAir, and several smaller carriers. There is also daily ferry service.

We brought a team of youth and adults down to the island to do some mission work. The accommodations were great for our large group - the main lodge provided enough room for our large group time and meals. Matt, Brett, and the entire team were super responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

- Cancellations 120 days prior to the check-in date will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee plus the full KEY coordination fee. Cancellations made within 120 days of the check-in date are non-refundable.
Things you need to know
The property comes with a fleet of golf carts.
Bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels are provided. Bath towels may not be taken to the beach or pool.
The guest bedroom is furnished with twin beds that can be converted into a king.
We have also just installed super-fast free Starlink internet.
Restrictions
Guests & Occupancy
- Occupancy is limited to the number of guests listed and paid for on the reservation. Additional or unauthorized guests may result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of rent.
- Renter is responsible for ensuring all members of the rental party and permitted guests comply with the rental agreement and property rules.
- Property may only be used by the registered rental party in accordance with the rental agreement.
Prohibited Activities
- Smoking is prohibited inside the property.
- Illegal substances, flammable fluids, explosives, and other materials deemed hazardous to life or property are prohibited.
Equipment & Amenities
- Maintenance issues or property damage must be reported immediately to the local property manager.
- No refunds or rate adjustments will be provided for unforeseen failures involving electricity, water, pool heating/filtration (if equipped), air conditioning, telephone, television/cable, appliances, or other property systems.
Checkout & Care
- Renter is responsible for cleaning, repair, or replacement costs resulting from damage caused by the renter or guests, excluding normal wear and tear.
- Additional cleaning charges may apply if the property is left excessively dirty.
- Late checkout must be approved in writing in advance. Unapproved late checkout is charged at $75 per hour or any portion of an hour past checkout.
