KEY Curation Notes

Single-story layout with all bedrooms on one floor — zero stairs to any guest quarters, which is genuinely useful for multigenerational groups or anyone with mobility considerations. Two primary bedrooms offer separate en-suite bathrooms; the third guest bedroom (two full beds) shares a bathroom across the hall.
The screened porch is a genuine centerpiece—high ceilings, bench swing, ceiling fan — reviewers specifically mention it's a favorite spot for morning coffee and evening wind-downs, with particular praise for fall and spring visits when weather is mild. This is where you'll spend leisure time as a group.
The community pool is the size of a resort lagoon (12,000 square feet) with views directly from the property. Unobstructed sightlines mean you see the Gulf from the community chairs without the typical crowded-beach-row experience that plagues other areas on 30A.
The microwave is a microfridge unit that must be unplugged and pulled out to use. If meal-prep flexibility matters on your trip, pack strategically or plan restaurant dinners. The galley kitchen is well-equipped with high-end appliances, a 4-seat breakfast bar, and a formal dining table for eight—entertaining within the home works well; stocking the kitchen less so.
Single-story living means excellent interior flow but limited outdoor expansion. The propane grill and outdoor shower sit at the side; the back is the screened porch. This is a contained, intimate property—ideal for smaller groups or families prioritizing togetherness over sprawl.

Laura

The house had all that we needed. It was as described. Even though we had to access the beach from another entry point due to construction that was not a hardship!! We had a great trip. Recommend this property.

Sea Turtle Facts

South Walton’s sugar-white sand beaches are a big draw for visitors, but they’re also home to some of the area’s tiniest residents. During the months of May through October, endangered sea turtles build nests in that sand, and need the help and consideration of human beachgoers in order to thrive and survive.

Sea turtles are protected by the Endangered Species Act.

Loggerhead and Green Sea Turtles typically nest on our beaches.

Nesting season is May 1–Oct. 31.

Hatchlings are guided to the Gulf by the moon. White lights confuse them.

The temperature of the sand determines the sex of the hatchlings.

Sea turtles return to the beach where they were born to lay their eggs.

Mama sea turtles lay about 100 eggs in a nest and tend to lay 3–5 nests.

In 2021, 624 hatchlings made it to the Gulf in Walton County.

Call *FWC or 850-865-4503 if you see a sea turtle.

Your cooperation with this municipal code will ensure the area's beaches remain pristine while also ensuring that personal articles do not interfere with nesting sea turtles, beach maintenance and emergency vehicles.
