_Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities._
++Beach Access:++
Deer Lake State Park (long boardwalk with stairs & ramps) – .7 miles away, 5-minute golf cart ride & about a 7-minute walk down the boardwalk to the beach (not great for elderly). Parking for cars and golf carts, approx. $3 per car/golf cart and $2 per bike (subject to change). Get there early, as there is limited parking, and they will close the entrance once full. No beach service is provided here.
Walton Dunes (no stairs or ramp, walk right up to beach) – 2.5 miles down the road, take a left at Lakewood Drive and follow the curve until you see the parking lot for cars/golf carts. Beach service is provided here, but no other amenities.
Santa Clara (ramp, no stairs) – 3.5 miles from Prominence. Includes parking, restrooms, beach service, and lifeguards during peak season. Located on Scenic 30A, 1/2 mile east of Scenic 395, turn south on Bramble Grove Place.
Gulf Lakes (stairs, no ramps) - .5 miles to the east of Prominence with bike parking, fresh water shower, and beach service. No restrooms. No car parking
Regional beach access points have vehicle parking, rest rooms, ADA ramps and accessibility. Neighborhood beach access points have limited vehicle parking and few or no ramps or rest rooms.
Restrictions
- Minimum night stay requirements vary by home and time of year.
- Re-arrangement of existing furniture is prohibited and may cause for additional fees charged to your credit card.
- Pet or any evidence of a pet found on the property, that was not previously disclosed by charging you the pet fee, is cause for eviction and forfeiture of rent in addition to additional cleaning charges of $500. This is strictly enforced.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in any of our rental homes and condo units, including balconies and porches. Violation of this policy is cause for eviction and forfeiture of rent. Additional cleaning charges of $500 will be charged if in violation.
- Use of barbecue grills is not permitted in any apartment or condo property. Many condominium complexes have community barbeques located on the premises. It is a violation of the fire code to do so and can result in eviction.
- Only guests registered with KEY may occupy the rented property. No other guests are permitted inside or to stay overnight without prior written permission. The number of occupants cannot be more than the state amount as mentioned in the reservation confirmation.
- KEY is not responsible for any personal belongings of the vacationer or their party.
- There are no refunds for inconveniences beyond our control including but not limited to air conditioning, power, cable, internet/wi-fi, elevator, pools, hot tubs or construction projects. No refunds or credits will be made to guests for weather-related issues or closures, including hurricanes and/or mandatory evacuations.
- WI-FI Internet is available and will accommodate an average of 3 devices per unit. Because individual device settings may not be compatible with the internet service settings in the property, we cannot guarantee the reliability or connectivity of internet service. Limited tech support.
- The maximum number of guests per home is limited to the actual sleeping capacity for that home or condo unit. Children under 3 years of age do not apply. For your comfort, bunk beds and sofa beds are not recommended for adults.
