KEY Curation Notes

Long-range layered mountain views face east from nearly every room, with an outdoor covered deck equipped with its own gas fireplace and 55" Smart TV for all-weather use.
Hot tub and custom firepit are both on the outdoor living space — the firepit setup is built for roasting marshmallows, not just ambiance.
Two king master suites, one on each floor — the main-level king has an ensuite with a soaking tub, rainfall shower, and double vanities; the upper king shares a full bath with the twin bunk bedroom.
Community amenities are walkable from this location: basketball, pickleball, tennis courts, a dog park, hiking and biking trails, and the Eagles Nest Winery a quarter-mile away — all accessible to renters without a membership.
4WD or AWD is required November through March; chains may also be needed in winter conditions.

Evergreen faces east, so you will experience gorgeous sunrise views. - Evergreen at Eagles Nest is perfectly located in the new Overlook section of the development, which is right across the street from the ever-popular North Pavilion, which offers basketball and tennis courts, a dog park, helipad, the Sportsman's Lodge and Bistro, and so much more. The Eagles Nest Winery and Off Road Adventures (UTV rentals) is within walking distance, just a quarter mile away from this home. Access to Beech Mountain has never been quicker, thanks to the brand new Mountain Pass Road connecting Beech Mountain and Eagles Nest. Go from Evergreen to the Beech Mountain slopes in less than 15 minutes! Please note that to return home, guests must travel through Banner Elk and the front gate. - The Eagles Nest community offers a wonderful retreat with as much relaxation or adventure as you desire. With the main gate only 5 minutes from downtown Banner Elk, you will have quick access to loads of fun on both Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain. Each season presents its own gift, full of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, or just enjoy the comforts of your home away from home. Nearby towns of Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis and Boone, home to Appalachian State University, add to the unique flavor and charm of the area. Private ATVs are not permitted in the community and will be denied entry at the gates.

Getting to the property

The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required from November to March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.

We stayed at the Evergreen at Eagles Nest. It was absolutely beautiful! The cabin exceeded our expectations above and beyond! It was immaculate. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The amenities were wonderful. The views were gorgeous. Enjoyed the fireplaces inside and out. The hot tub was so nice! The property managers were excellent and made sure everything went smoothly from check in to check out. We will definitely be back. We loved the cabin.

Things you need to know

Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.

Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsmans Lodge. That is for member use only.

The North Pavilion is host to several summer parties, including a Fourth of July celebration and concerts, which guests are more than welcome to attend; however, in the event there is a wedding or other private party, guests are not allowed in or near the Sportsmans Lodge.

Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.

The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there is an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.

All linens and towels are provided for your stay.

All Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious amenities.

Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard from 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday.

Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

The property is set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a STARTER SET of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

We provide one towel and washcloth per person that each respective house accommodates, plus a few extra towels if there is a hot tub. The beds are made up with clean linens (except bunks, sleepers, and futons, but linens are provided on site). If you routinely use two towels after bathing, you may need to bring some of your own.

This home comes equipped with a basic set of cookware, sufficient plates & silverware for the occupancy of the home, and basic serving and baking dishes. Most homes do not have unusual items such as crockpots or blenders, so if you’re planning a dish that requires an unusual item, it is best to bring that from your home.

This home is not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items, including plastic wrap or foil.

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age requirements: Primary guest must be at least 25 years old and must remain on-site for the full stay.
  • Maximum occupancy: Occupancy limits (including children) must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Guest accountability: The booking guest is responsible for all occupants, compliance with rules, and any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized guests: $25 per person per day for exceeding occupancy; may result in immediate removal.
  • Approved use of property: Use is limited to vacation purposes unless prior written approval is obtained. Subletting or assignment is not permitted without written approval.

Events & Noise

  • Events & gatherings: Not permitted without prior written approval; unauthorized events may result in fines, immediate removal without refund, and charges for damages/cleaning.
  • Noise restrictions: Must comply with local noise regulations at all times.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Allowed only in designated homes with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $200 fee + $500 cleaning fee; may require removal or termination without refund. Pets must meet all listing restrictions and be pre-treated for pests.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors; $300 smoke remediation fee.
  • Illegal activities: Any violation of laws or regulations is prohibited and may result in termination of stay.
  • Fireworks & firearms: Strictly prohibited at all times.
  • Fire/fireplace misuse: No burning wood in gas fireplaces. No roasting food in fireplaces. Unauthorized outdoor fires prohibited (fees apply).
  • EV charging: Prohibited unless specifically approved; $500 fine.

Equipment & Amenities

  • Seasonal requirements: (if applicable) 4WD/AWD and/or tire chains strongly recommended November–April; no refunds for lack of preparation.
  • Hot tubs _(if equipped)_: Use at your own risk; not suitable for individuals with infections or open wounds. Must follow all sanitation and usage rules (no additives, glass, or tampering). $500 fee for cover damage; additional fees for misuse or extra cleaning.
  • HVAC & utilities: Some homes may not have air conditioning; no refunds due to weather or lack of AC.
  • Internet/TV/phone: No refunds for outages or service issues. Pay-per-view is prohibited; charges will be billed if used. Long-distance calls must not be billed to the home.
  • Appliances & equipment: No refunds for malfunctions (TV, hot tub, appliances, etc.).
  • Equipment reporting: Issues must be reported promptly; repairs will be attempted but are not guaranteed.
  • Parking rules: Vehicle limits apply; some areas restrict motorcycles, RVs, or trailers. No roadside parking if prohibited.
  • Restricted areas: Locked closets/areas are off-limits.
  • Firewood: Available for purchase ($25/day) with 7-day advance notice.

  • Check-in: Begins at 4:00 PM (may vary up to 5:00 PM depending on home/season). No early check-in guarantees or compensation.

  • Cleaning expectations: Leave the property in reasonable condition. Bag and dispose of trash, start dishwasher, and place used towels as instructed.
