Neighborhood: Waikoloa Beach Resort - Blue Sunset is in the front row of the Kolea community at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. This is a ground-floor unit with a nice grassy yard off the lanai, surrounded by tropical greenery and with an excellent view of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course, and a glimpse of the ocean in the distance. This gated community is situated on more than 30 acres and boasts stunning of the surrounding Waikoloa Beach Course and the ocean and mountains. - Within the Waikoloa Beach Resort you'll find the white sand A-Bay (Anaeho'omalu Bay) beach. A short drive away are a dozen of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii, including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea Beach. - Inside the community is the Beach Club Pavilion. This amazing, oceanside recreation center has an infinity pool overlooking A-Bay Beach and the historic Waikoloa fish ponds. There is a sand-bottom keiki (children's) pool with a waterfall feature and a jacuzzi surrounded by natural lava rock. There is also an open-air fitness hall overlooking the pool area. Take a one-minute walk down the path from the beach club to A-Bay beach. Kolea homes have the easiest, shortest walk from home to the beach in the Waikoloa Resort! - The resort has two world-class golf courses, the Waikoloa Beach Course and the King's Course. The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - Minutes away are the Kings Shops and the Queens Shops where you can find supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens Shops. They include groceries, restaurants and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000-foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

Absolutely fabulous rental. They've thought of everything - beach gear, cooler, Tupperware, pretty much any kitchen gadget you could imagine, games, even post-it notes and pencils in the kitchen. The unit was clean and with nice quality dishes, linens, & towels. We rented two units for our extended family reunion and used this as our home-base for dinners and group time - it was perfect! Easy check in and great communication with the management company.

This home includes FREE Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort passes in 2026. The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort was voted the #1 resort in Hawaii by USA Today. Normally, resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child but when staying at this home use for up to 6 people is COMPLIMENTARY with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon for snorkeling, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle. It also includes a 10% discount on Spa Treatments, 10% discount on Lagoon toys and Cabana rentals. Guests love this resort pass which gives them the best of both worlds with hotel privileges and a comfortable, well-equipped vacation home.
Children under 5 do not count towards 6 people.

Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy so upon check-in the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack and play, high chair, bedrails, toilet training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other items are subject to availability.
