Neighborhood: Mauna Lani Resort - Summer Breeze is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both Auberge and Fairmont Hotels. A short drive away are the six(6) of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii, including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea Beach. - The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven (7) challenging courses all within 7 miles of our villa. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens’ Shops. They include groceries, restaurants, and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes, you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000-foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open, and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike, or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

The house was great—clean, orderly, spacious and well stocked with everything you need. So much great gear for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, snorkels, boogie boards, coolers, and a wagon to carry it all down there!) They even have bikes which we rode area the community. It was perfect. Exceeded our expectations! And the check in and check out were so easy and smooth. Plus the area Mauna Lani is located in a great spot. Away from the more crowded Kona, but close enough to head down there for dinner. It's by some beach beaches, but going to the resorts private beach was a highlight in and into itself. Highly recommend this home!

Staying in Kulalani gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, a free form pool, and kiddie pool.
You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Na Pua Restaurant just two miles away. We include at no extra cost a gate card to allow you access and use of this private Mauna Lani Beach Club.
We are happy to provide bikes for families to enjoy and explore the Mauna Lani Resort. We have a large assortment of bike helmets and bike locks.
The two TwinXL beds in the second bedroom can be combined as a King with a gel topper. There is a Queen and Twin sleeper sofa in the living room.
Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy so upon check-in, the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack and play, high chair, bedrails, toilet training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other items are subject to availability.
