KEY Curation Notes

Wooded cottage on a resort-style lot in Linville Land Harbor, sleeping 8 across four bedrooms and a sleeping loft, with two full baths. The enormous wrap-around fir timber porch overlooks the trees and golf course, with mountain views when the leaves are down.
Private hot tub (6-person), fire pit, and propane grill on the lower patio. The lower level also has a second living area with sectional seating, TV, games, and a gated pet nook — useful if you need to leave dogs secured while out.
Linville Land Harbor community amenities are included: seasonal pool (Memorial Day through Labor Day), 18-hole golf course (fees apply), fishing, lake kayaking, hiking and biking trails, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, and a game room. The community Patio Grill at Hole 9 serves breakfast and lunch during the operational season.
Air conditioning is limited — one window unit in the den, installed 2024. The property relies on elevation and breezes for cooling; warm-weather bookings should factor this in. Firewood for the fire pit is available for $25/night with a week's notice.
Starter supplies provided for roughly one to two nights — paper goods, a few cleaning items, shampoo, and linens. KEY.co can arrange grocery delivery before arrival so you're set from the start. 4WD or AWD required November through April.

Enjoy the tree & golf course views through the beautiful trees from the enormous fir timber wrap-around porch. And when the leaves fall, enjoy the mountains in the distance. - Linville Land Harbor community presents a wealth of amenities to enhance your stay. Nature enthusiasts will revel in the hiking opportunities, while the community offers opportunities for friendly competitions with seasonally available amenities (open May-Oct) such as a recreation room, shuffleboard, basketball, and tennis. A serene lake beckons for fishing or kayaking, providing an idyllic backdrop for outdoor activities. For those seeking relaxation, a wonderful swimming pool awaits (open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day each year). The public golf course has gorgeous views as you walk through the neighborhoods and the lake. Next to Hole #9 is the newly built addition, The Patio Grill. It offers a quick bite to eat or drink. The Patio Grill will be open for both breakfast and lunch during the operational season. The Grill's hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm.

Parking information

It is easy to maneuver in and out of the home using the double driveways (upper and lower).

Getting to the property

4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-April and chains may also be necessary during inclement weather.

Lark Hollow was beautiful. It was exactly what we were looking for. There was more than enough room for our family of 5 and it was such an amazing place for our pup to relax as well. It was very centrally located and there was so much to explore and do within a half hour of the home. Plenty of trails and beautiful towns to visit along with very friendly locals. We will absolutely be back!

Things you need to know

One bedroom has two twin beds that can be pushed together if you prefer.

Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.

The owners of this home use exterior driveway cameras to ensure their home remains safe. One is located on a tree monitoring a section of the driveway, the other is mounted on a pole monitoring the other section of the driveway.. No cameras monitor the decks, firepit area, or interior spaces.

The property is set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a STARTER SET of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

We provide one towel and washcloth per person that each respective house accommodates, plus a few extra towels if there is a hot tub. The beds are made up with clean linens (except bunks, sleepers, and futons, but linens are provided on site). If you routinely use two towels after bathing, you may need to bring some of your own.

This home comes equipped with a basic set of cookware, sufficient plates & silverware for the occupancy of the home, and basic serving and baking dishes. Most homes do not have unusual items such as crockpots or blenders, so if you’re planning a dish that requires an unusual item, it is best to bring that from your home.

This home is not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items, including plastic wrap or foil.

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age requirements: Primary guest must be at least 25 years old and must remain on-site for the full stay.
  • Maximum occupancy: Occupancy limits (including children) must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Guest accountability: The booking guest is responsible for all occupants, compliance with rules, and any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized guests: $25 per person per day for exceeding occupancy; may result in immediate removal.
  • Approved use of property: Use is limited to vacation purposes unless prior written approval is obtained. Subletting or assignment is not permitted without written approval.

Events & Noise

  • Events & gatherings: Not permitted without prior written approval; unauthorized events may result in fines, immediate removal without refund, and charges for damages/cleaning.
  • Noise restrictions: Must comply with local noise regulations at all times.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Allowed only in designated homes with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $200 fee + $500 cleaning fee; may require removal or termination without refund. Pets must meet all listing restrictions and be pre-treated for pests.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors; $300 smoke remediation fee.
  • Illegal activities: Any violation of laws or regulations is prohibited and may result in termination of stay.
  • Fireworks & firearms: Strictly prohibited at all times.
  • Fire/fireplace misuse: No burning wood in gas fireplaces. No roasting food in fireplaces. Unauthorized outdoor fires prohibited (fees apply).
  • EV charging: Prohibited unless specifically approved; $500 fine.

Equipment & Amenities

  • Appliances & equipment: No refunds for malfunctions (TV, hot tub, appliances, etc.).
  • Equipment reporting: Issues must be reported promptly; repairs will be attempted but are not guaranteed.
  • Parking rules: Vehicle limits apply; some areas restrict motorcycles, RVs, or trailers. No roadside parking if prohibited.
  • Restricted areas: Locked closets/areas are off-limits.
  • Firewood: Available for purchase ($25/day) with 7-day advance notice.
