Neighborhood: Mauna Lani Point - The Fun in the Sun House is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both the Auberge and the Fairmont Orchid Hotels. - Nested in one of the few communities with easy walking access to the Mauna Lani Private Beach Club, where guests enjoy complimentary chairs and cabanas, calm waters perfect for snorkeling and paddle-boarding, and the popular Napua Restaurant. The home is also steps from the community’s private heated pool complex, set amid lush tropical gardens for a tranquil retreat. - Perched above the coastline, offers sweeping views of the dramatic ocean, the world-famous Mauna Lani South Golf Course, and the iconic 49 Black Sand Beach. - The Napua Restaurant is just two miles away. The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - A short drive away are six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii, including Beach 69, Hapuna Beach, and the breathtaking Mauna Kea Beach. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani, where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops, and Queen's Shops. They include groceries, restaurants, and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes, you can walk to the beach in 15 minutes or take a bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000-foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018, it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open, and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike, or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver, and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

What a wonderful stay. The condo was beautiful, view stunning and so peaceful. You would have no idea that you are between the Hilton and Mauna Lani resort, felt like a neighborhood. Access to both the 49 Black Sand beach and the Mauna Lani Beach Club. Great snorkeling in the cove right out front. The condo had everything you could need, new bikes, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas etc, etc. The pool (which we didn't use) was private and closest to these condos. The management company was very responsive and were right on top of fixing any minor detail. Would stay here at Mauna Lani Point neighborhood, next time on the island. Highly recommend!

Staying in Mauna Lani Point gives you full access to its private pool, spa, and hot tub. This home is in building E, which is one of the closest to the pool complex.
Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy, so upon check-in, the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack 'n Play, high chair, bed rails, toilet-training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids' kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers, and other items are subject to availability.
