Ascending to the upper floor, you'll find a regal king bedroom adorned with a private gas fireplace, inviting you to unwind and relax. Indulge in the opulent copper tub or luxuriate in the expansive open shower. The double granite vanities with black onyx vessels add an exquisite touch. Connected to the bedroom is a cozy sitting room complete with a TV and access to a private deck, where you can savor moments of tranquility. Descend to the lower level, where the entertainment space awaits. Here, a second large-screen TV and comfortable couches beckon you to gather for leisurely relaxation. Challenge friends to a game of pool, with the natural bedrock wall providing a unique backdrop. On one side of this level, a bedroom with two queen beds and an ensuite bath ensures a restful retreat. On the other side, two additional bedrooms, a full bath, and a sauna await, catering to your every need. The outdoor deck is a haven of serenity, featuring expansive wooden glider chairs that offer sweeping views of the Elk River Valley.

The Flying Eagle is — hands down — one of the finest properties you'll find anywhere in the North Carolina mountains, not just Eagles Nest. Few homes take your breath away upon entry like the Flying Eagle. A full panoramic vista of the beautiful mountains greets you immediately upon opening the front door. It's almost embarrassing how much time I spent sitting in a chair, just soaking in the view! The house doesn't end with the view; it's perfectly set up for multiple families with large bedrooms, a game room, and a couple outdoor entertaining areas. The kitchen is spacious and better equipped than most of the other mountain properties I've rented. We also loved the location, close to both Great Camp and the North Pavilion.

Things you need to know
All linens and towels are provided for your stay.
Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7 am-7 pm Monday through Saturday.
The summer concerts are open to all guests however there may be an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.
All properties are set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a starter set of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.
All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
Homes are not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items including plastic wrap or foil.
Guests will have access to the entire unit and all amenities within.
Restrictions
- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs.
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)
- Please be aware that some properties are not equipped with air conditioning. KEY is not responsible for weather conditions at the time of tenancy, and there will be no refunds or switching of properties due to a lack of air conditioning.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- No refunds will be granted for unsatisfactory housekeeping, but every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate your needs.
- We cannot be responsible for changes made by the Owner to the furnishings or equipment in the units. There will be no refunds due to the property not being decorated or accommodated to Tenant’s individual preference or due to minor discrepancies with the website.
- We do not permit anyone to check in on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Easter Sunday under any circumstances.
- Refrain from roasting marshmallows in our gas-log fireplaces.
