KEY Curation Notes

Five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms sleep up to twelve, each with a private en-suite. The main-level king master is the standout suite: panoramic sunrise views, and a full wet room with steam room, rain shower, and soaking tub. The second king suite is privately accessed above the garage via its own staircase off the mudroom. Two queen suites and a full-over-full bunk room occupy the lower level; the bunk room's bathroom is in the hallway rather than en-suite. Three of the four suites have heated beds.
The double-sided gas fireplace anchors the great room, visible from both the living and dining areas, with floor-to-ceiling views on multiple sides. The kitchen runs Viking commercial appliances with a coffee bar. The covered deck has a wood-burning fireplace and additional seating with long-range mountain views.
The lower level has a home theater with a 120" Sony projection screen and dedicated seating, plus a recreation room with a 70" TV, wet bar, and a retro arcade table with 30 classic games. The hot tub is on the lower deck, designed as a spa zone with lounge chairs, a fireplace, and rope swings.
Located midway between Great Camp and the North Pavilion — well-positioned for Eagles Nest amenity access — with the Beech Mountain back gate a short drive away for ski trips.
The Eagles Nest community amenity fee is billed separately at $35 per night, capped at $175. Included access covers hiking and biking trails, ATV trails (on-site rentals through Off Road Adventures — personal machines not permitted at the gate), pickleball, tennis, basketball, disc golf, ropes course, mini-golf, playground, and the summer concert amphitheater (admission not included). Eagles Nest Winery day passes are $25 per person.
4WD or AWD is required November through March, and chains may be necessary. No refunds for guests arriving without a compliant vehicle.
Active construction is ongoing in several Eagles Nest neighborhoods. Noise is possible Monday through Saturday, 7am–7pm.
Cell reception is limited on some roads within the community; the home has internet.
Starter supplies cover roughly one night — KEY.co can arrange grocery delivery before your arrival.

Neighborhood: Eagles Nest - Nestled in the mountains on a 1.5-acre lot, there are incredible long-range mountain views from almost every room. - Located just minutes from the quaint town of Banner Elk, which encompasses many gourmet restaurants and boutique shops. It is the perfect getaway anytime of year, offering endless nearby activities including Ski slopes, tubing, hiking, white water rafting, boating, and zip lining to name a few. - Located directly between Great Camp and the North Pavilion area of Eagles Nest, this home offers an excellent location in proximity to the most popular amenities in the community. In the summertime, enjoy a nice hike right from your doorstep! Beech Mountain is a short drive away using the back gate of Eagles Nest. - Close to Alpine Wilderness Coaster.

Parking information

Private ATVs are not permitted in the community and will be denied entry at the gates.

Getting to the property

The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required from November to March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.

Things you need to know

Firewood for the fire pit may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.

Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.

Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)

The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there is an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.

All linens and towels provided for your stay.

The exterior of the home is monitored by security cameras. Camera 1 is a doorbell-style camera at the front door, and camera 2 is on the garage, monitoring the entryway and parking area only. No cameras are pointed towards any interiors or the hot tub.

Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

The property is set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a STARTER SET of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

We provide one towel and washcloth per person that each respective house accommodates, plus a few extra towels if there is a hot tub. The beds are made up with clean linens (except bunks, sleepers, and futons, but linens are provided on site). If you routinely use two towels after bathing, you may need to bring some of your own.

This home comes equipped with a basic set of cookware, sufficient plates & silverware for the occupancy of the home, and basic serving and baking dishes. Most homes do not have unusual items such as crockpots or blenders, so if you’re planning a dish that requires an unusual item, it is best to bring that from your home.

This home is not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items, including plastic wrap or foil.

Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age requirements: Primary guest must be at least 25 years old and must remain on-site for the full stay.
  • Maximum occupancy: Occupancy limits (including children) must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Guest accountability: The booking guest is responsible for all occupants, compliance with rules, and any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized guests: $25 per person per day for exceeding occupancy; may result in immediate removal.
  • Approved use of property: Use is limited to vacation purposes unless prior written approval is obtained. Subletting or assignment is not permitted without written approval.

Events & Noise

  • Events & gatherings: Not permitted without prior written approval; unauthorized events may result in fines, immediate removal without refund, and charges for damages/cleaning.
  • Noise restrictions: Must comply with local noise regulations at all times.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Allowed only in designated homes with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $200 fee + $500 cleaning fee; may require removal or termination without refund. Pets must meet all listing restrictions and be pre-treated for pests.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors; $300 smoke remediation fee.
  • Illegal activities: Any violation of laws or regulations is prohibited and may result in termination of stay.
  • Fireworks & firearms: Strictly prohibited at all times.
  • Fire/fireplace misuse: No burning wood in gas fireplaces. No roasting food in fireplaces. Unauthorized outdoor fires prohibited (fees apply).
  • EV charging: Prohibited unless specifically approved; $500 fine.

Equipment & Amenities

  • HVAC & utilities: Some homes may not have air conditioning; no refunds due to weather or lack of AC.
  • Internet/TV/phone: No refunds for outages or service issues. Pay-per-view is prohibited; charges will be billed if used. Long-distance calls must not be billed to the home.
  • Appliances & equipment: No refunds for malfunctions (TV, hot tub, appliances, etc.).
  • Equipment reporting: Issues must be reported promptly; repairs will be attempted but are not guaranteed.
  • Parking rules: Vehicle limits apply; some areas restrict motorcycles, RVs, or trailers. No roadside parking if prohibited.
  • Restricted areas: Locked closets/areas are off-limits.
  • Firewood: Available for purchase ($25/day) with 7-day advance notice.

Checkout & Care

  • Check-in: Begins at 4:00 PM (may vary up to 5:00 PM depending on home/season). No early check-in guarantees or compensation.
  • Checkout: By 10:00 AM.
  • Key return: $25 fee for lost keys.
  • Cleaning expectations: Leave the property in reasonable condition. Bag and dispose of trash, start dishwasher, and place used towels as instructed.
  • Furniture & home care: Maintain cleanliness and avoid unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
  • Supplies: Starter supplies only; additional items must be purchased by guests.
