Sunburst Courtyard

We had a wonderful time at Sunburst Courtyard!! Upon arrival, we enjoyed the yummy welcome cupcakes. We also appreciated the complementary soap/cleaning sets for each bathroom and the kitchen, as well as a starter set of toilet paper and a paper towel roll. The listing didn't (it may have changed) share this, so I'll add it here: There are two, 2-man kayaks and one, 1-man kayak available to use (and only 3 adult life jackets - more would have been nice, especially for kids to use). We loved kayaking the canals and out to the nearby island!! There were also at least 4 adult bicycles we used a bit but most of them need some work done (loose handlebar attachment, etc.). The pool was beautiful and maintenance was quick to send a pool man out twice when it was having trouble - he replaced the filter, which cleared it up completely. They also provided lots of pool towels, a blow-up mat for the pool, some toys for building sand castles, a kid's puddle jumper jacket, a VERY helpful beach cart we used often when we hit the beach, several beach chairs, and a nice beach umbrella. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could think of, including a huge variety of spices (more than any house I've stayed in), ALL the supplies needed for cooking (although they could upgrade the whisks, they were flimsy and kept bending out of shape with my thin pancake batter)...literally the only thing we couldn't find was a steamer basket (we did almost all of our cooking, not much eating out). The rooms were very nice, spread out well for a large group (we had 2 couples, 3 kids, and 2 single adults). It was so nice that there were 2 extra twin mattresses (and bedding) in one of the closets, and we used one of those...in addition to the 2-bed trundle, pull-out couch (fits 2), and 3 other large beds throughout the house. The beach is close enough to bike to (some of our group did that), but a bit far to walk to for older adults or young kids. We drove to Siesta Beach a few times and they have a huge parking lot, so it wasn't a problem to find parking (even if it took a bit of searching)...we also drove to several other nearby beaches that were never more than 30 minutes away. So it was a great location for us! If you want to take the Siesta Key Trolley (we didn't end up doing that), we learned you just walk to the Village and hop on right next to the local market (free rides down as far south as Turtle Beach).
