Neighborhood: Mauna Lani Resort - Pualani, meaning “Heavenly Flower” Villa is located in the KaMilo community within the sought-after Mauna Lani Resort backing onto the Mauna Lani North Golf Course 7th Fairway close to both Auberge and the Fairmont Orchid Hotels. - A short drive away are six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii, including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea Beach. - The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens’ Shops. They include groceries, restaurants, and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes, you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000-foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open, and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike, or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

Lovely home for our 3 adult children and their significant others. Each had their own air conditioned rooms with beautiful bathrooms with double sinks. Plenty of room to spread out. The pool was large and hot tub was wonderful. Make sure to go to Poipu beach at sunrise and sunset. We encountered several turtles and a monk seal! Go get lunch at Puka Dog across the beach! Take a short trip to Waimea Canyon! Keep in mind there is a $10 charge per car and $5 per person donation. Worth the view! Kitchen could use more plastic ware for use around the pool. Management was great when we had questions.

Bedroom three has two Twin XL beds, which can be left separate or combined to make an additional king bed with topper.
The private Ohana Suite also has a king bed and a kitchenette.
Staying in KaMilo gives you full access to the Recreation Center with cardio and weight fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, freeform pool and kiddie pool. You can also take advantage of the clean Mauna Lani Beach Club staffed with lifeguards and the Napua Restaurant, just two miles away. Includes access to the lounge chairs and cabanas. Excellent snorkeling in calm waters!
County Law requires alarms on all ground-level sliding doors that lead to the pool area, to prevent doors from being left open indefinitely.
Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy, so upon check-in, the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack and play, high chair, bedrails, toilet training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids' kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other items are subject to availability.

- Homes are located within HOA-governed communities. Guests are responsible for complying with community-specific association rules as outlined in the Home Use Agreement.
