Neighborhood: Mauna Lani Resort - A short drive away is the six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea beach. Ohana Spirit is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both Auberge and Fairmont Hotels. The Kohala Coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens Shops. They include groceries, restaurants and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000 foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.
Parking information
- Parking available. - All beaches in Hawaii are public with some parking options nearby. - Please park in the garage. You may park in the driveway, but cannot allow your vehicle to stick out past the driveway even a few inches. Please do not allow your tires to be on the grass and do not park sideways in the driveway. Garage parking is preferred when at all possible. Street parking is not permitted.

Beautiful and spacious home that fit our family and my sister's family perfectly. There were 8 of us in the house (4 adults, 4 young kids) and we never felt like it was too crowded. They provided everything you could think of - bed rails, games, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc which we really appreciated. We didn't have to rent anything! The digital guide was also useful to us. We loved the Mauna Lani Beach Club the best because of the close proximity, calm beach and amenities (restaurant, bathroom, showers). It was also nice that the rental included access to the Marriott pool. The kids loved the pool and waterslide there!

This home includes FREE Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort passes in 2026. The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort was voted #1 resort in Hawaii by USA Today. Normally resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child but when staying at this home, use for up to 10 people is complimentary with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon for snorkeling, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle. It also includes a 10% discount on Spa Treatments, 10% discount on Lagoon toys and Cabana rentals. Guests love this resort pass which gives them the best of both worlds with hotel privileges and a comfortable well-equipped vacation home.
Children under 5 do not count towards 10 people.
Staying in KaMilo gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, freeform pool, and kiddie pool. You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Napua Restaurant just two miles away. Excellent snorkeling in calm waters!
Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy so upon check in the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack and play, high chair, bedrails, toilet training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers and other items are subject to availability.
The two twin XLs in Bedroom #4 can be combined as a King bed with a gel topper.
