KEY Curation Notes

Unobstructed views of Lone Peak from nearly every room, including the primary bedroom's en-suite soaking tub — a genuinely rare orientation for a ski property at this price point.
Ski-in/ski-out via Little Thunder Run, with the Cascade Ski Lift an 8-minute walk. The access route involves a tunnel crossing under the road and requires following specific trail signs — detailed directions are provided. Not a door-to-chair setup, but legitimate on-mountain access. Lift availability in November, early December, and April is subject to Big Sky Resort's schedule; confirm before booking shoulder season dates.
Three king bedrooms plus a bunk room, with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace anchoring the main living area and Lone Peak views through the windows. The primary suite has its own fireplace, patio access, and a soaking tub. Two full en-suites on the main level, a third en-suite upstairs, and a jack-and-jill shared between the bunk room and upper hall.
Two distinct living areas — the main-level great room with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, and an upper media lounge with a wet bar and board games. The layout separates well for groups or families traveling together.
Three-car heated garage, central air conditioning, mud room, and in-unit laundry — practical infrastructure that's uncommon at this size in Big Sky.
Starter supplies are minimal by design. Travel-sized toiletries and a basic kitchen kit are included. Stock up before heading to the mountain — KEY.co's grocery delivery covers Big Sky and can have essentials waiting at check-in.

Reviews

We had a great stay at Lone Peak Sanctuary. The craps table in the game room was used every night. The ski hangers in the garage and the boot warmer rack in the laundry room were an added plus and loved by all. The house was spacious and very comfortable for our group. The heated floors throughout the house were truly wonderful. The house is beautiful and the scene (Lone Peak) out the window was spectacular. We highly recommend this house!!!

When Starting Your Ski Day: Follow Little Thunder run down to the Cascade run, and then through the ski tunnel that goes under the road. Then take the White Otter lift up and ski to the Big Sky Resort main base area. The easiest route is to make an immediate right onto the narrow traverse on the right side of White Wing to reach the base area.

When Ending Your Ski Day: The easiest way back home is to look for the four trail signs. Follow the sign for the designated trail to take you to the base of the Cascade lift. You will follow the main flow of the trail, but make sure to take the sharp left over the White Otter Access Bridge, then go straight down the hill following the trail under the White Otter lift. At the base of the White Otter lift, you will see the base of the Cascade lift. As you ski off Cascade, make a hard right to the Little Thunder lift, which will take you right back to 6 Little Thunder.
