Neighborhood: Residences of Laule'a - Located in the prestigious gated community of Lauleʻa within the Mauna Lani Resort, this is one of the few neighborhoods where you can conveniently walk to both the Mauna Lani Private Beach Club and 49 Black Sand Beach. - The Mauna Lani Beach Club features calm, sheltered waters ideal for snorkeling and paddleboarding, along with lounge chairs and cabanas for relaxing by the ocean. It is also home to Napua Restaurant & Bar, offering casual beachfront lunches and refined dining in the evening, just a 10-15 min walk away. - Nearby, 49 Black Sand Beach is known for its exceptional snorkeling, where vibrant tropical fish create a striking contrast against the dramatic black lava sand ocean floor. - A short drive away are six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii, including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea Beach. - The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - Elegant Escape is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both the Auberge and the Fairmont Orchid Hotels. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani, where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops, and Queen's Shops. They include groceries, restaurants, and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes, you can walk to the beach in 15 minutes or take a bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000-foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018, it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open, and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike, or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver, and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

We had a wonderful time at the Jeff & Suzanne's. The house was perfect for a family lots of room for everybody to have their own space. The kitchen was lovely for cooking meals It was easy to get to the grocery store for supplies or go to the deli The proximity of so many lovely beaches made for great exploring Ending each night in the hot tub looking at the stars with perfect Highly recommend staying here!

County Law requires alarms on all ground-level sliding doors that lead to the pool area, in order to prevent doors from being left open indefinitely.
Laundry detergent, oxyclean, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, jet dry, cling wrap, foil, zip lock bags, assortment of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, starter bag of pure Kona Mountain coffee (the good stuff), hand soap, Dove soap bar, high end Float shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, two extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, and two paper towel rolls are provided. We have a clean fridge policy, so upon check-in, the fridge does not have any condiments.
Pack 'n Play, high chair, bed rails, toilet-training seat, step stool for little kids, baby monitors, swim belt/vest, kids' kitchen items, full cribs, bike trailers, jogging strollers, and other items are subject to availability.
