Neighborhood: Mauna Lani Resort - Coral Reef Villa is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both Auberge and the Fairmont Orchid Hotels. This home is one of the closest to the recreation center complex including a fantastic fitness center, lap pool and large family pool. A short drive away are six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii, including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea Beach. - The Kohala coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa. - Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings. There are three wonderful shopping areas in the resorts: Shops at Mauna Lani, King Shops and Queens’ Shops. They include groceries, restaurants, and retail stores. They are within walking or biking distance from most of our vacation homes. - The resorts were designed to avoid overcrowding the beaches with condo towers and other developments. The gated communities are all set back from the beaches a bit to make sure the beach experience is amazing. From many of the homes, you can walk to a beach in 15 minutes or bike ride. - The Kilauea volcano is 90 miles away behind two 13,000-foot mountains and has been very quiet for the last year. Even during the eruption event in 2018 it did not affect our side of the Island. The National Park is open, and it is fascinating to explore, go for a hike, or take an aerial tour. It is part of what makes the Big Island unique and should not be missed. - The Kona (KOA) airport is the closest to the resorts. It is a 25-35 min drive to the vacation rentals. It is an international airport with direct flights from LA, SF, San Diego, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, San Jose, Oakland, Anchorage, Vancouver and Tokyo. There are also direct flights to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui.

Guests staying in 2025: Guests staying at Coral Reef Villa can receive 30% discounts on green fees at the Mauna Lani Auberge's renowned North or South course. This is up to a $90/golfer/day discount.
Staying in KaMilo gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, freeform pool and kiddie pool. You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Napua Restaurant, just two miles away. Excellent snorkelling in calm waters!
County Law requires alarms on all ground-level sliding doors that lead to pool area, in order to prevent doors from being left open indefinitely.
The second and third bedrooms are equipped with two (2) TwinXL beds that can be joined to make a King with a gel mattress topper.
This home is the Hoku B model which is one of only a few at KaMilo that feature a stand-alone guest cottage. Detached from the home, this suite has a King bed and its own ensuite.
