KEY Curation Notes

New construction next door. The neighboring lot was under active construction through at least spring 2026, with work permitted Monday–Saturday 7am–7pm.
Private 8-person hot tub and mountain views. The outdoor double decks face the Blue Ridge Mountains, with a daybed swing, stone fireplace with mounted TV, and a boulder fire pit.
The loft is a genuine standout. A second-floor billiards room with pool table, foosball table, and bar seating opens dramatically over the living room below via barn doors — with expansive mountain-view windows.
Game room in the lower level. The walkout basement adds a dedicated movie and ping pong room with a queen sofa bed, giving the home meaningful flex sleeping and hangout space beyond the four bedrooms.
King suite on the main floor has an en-suite with a soaking tub. The primary bath includes a separate tiled shower and double quartz vanities. Upper-level bedrooms share one full bath; the lower-level bunk room has its own full bath off the hallway.
Chef-grade kitchen. Quartz countertops, a 6-burner gas range, custom cabinetry, Keurig, and a beverage bar with wine fridge — well-matched to the property's wine country positioning.
Community amenities are extensive but require driving. Eagles Nest includes an onsite winery (day passes $25/person), the Epic Chophouse, amphitheater concerts, ropes course, mini golf, pickleball, hiking trails, and more — but most require a short drive from the home.
4WD or AWD required November through March. Mountain roads are plowed but chains may also be necessary. No refunds are issued for guests who arrive unprepared.
Starter supplies are minimal. The home comes with basics for roughly one to two nights. KEY.co can arrange grocery and supply delivery before your arrival so you're stocked from the moment you walk in.

Parking information

Private ATVs are not permitted in the community and will be denied entry at the gates.

Getting to the property

The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required from November to March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows.

Wine Down is the perfect mountain getaway, it exceeded all of our expectations. Our favorite part was the breathtaking view and amazing sunsets. Inside, the property is impeccably maintained and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen is fully equipped and has luxury appliances. The outdoor seating was our family's favorite spot for playing games, watching movies and enjoying the mountain views. The house has a hot tub, pool table, ping pong table and foosball. The kids loved having so many game options! The neighborhood has a putt-putt course, rockwall, zipline, tennis/pickleball courts, baseball field, soccer field and so much more. Wine Down is an outstanding rental that offers the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. I cannot recommend it enough and look forward to returning in the future. Five stars, without a doubt!

Things you need to know

Firewood for the fire pit may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a Firestarter for $25/night.

A level 2 EV charger outlet (50 Amp) is available for guest use. Please bring your charging cable.

Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.

Guests are responsible for supplying all their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)

The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there may be an admission fee. Cash bar for food and drinks.

Towels and linens will be provided.

Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

The TV services at this home are streaming-only.

This homeowner has installed exterior security cameras to ensure their home remains safe. No cameras are on the back deck, hot tub area, or interior of the home.

The property is set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a STARTER SET of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

We provide one towel and washcloth per person that each respective house accommodates, plus a few extra towels if there is a hot tub. The beds are made up with clean linens (except bunks, sleepers, and futons, but linens are provided on site). If you routinely use two towels after bathing, you may need to bring some of your own.

This home comes equipped with a basic set of cookware, sufficient plates & silverware for the occupancy of the home, and basic serving and baking dishes. Most homes do not have unusual items such as crockpots or blenders, so if you’re planning a dish that requires an unusual item, it is best to bring that from your home.

This home is not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items, including plastic wrap or foil.

Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age requirements: Primary guest must be at least 25 years old and must remain on-site for the full stay.
  • Maximum occupancy: Occupancy limits (including children) must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Guest accountability: The booking guest is responsible for all occupants, compliance with rules, and any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized guests: $25 per person per day for exceeding occupancy; may result in immediate removal.
  • Approved use of property: Use is limited to vacation purposes unless prior written approval is obtained. Subletting or assignment is not permitted without written approval.

Events & Noise

  • Events & gatherings: Not permitted without prior written approval; unauthorized events may result in fines, immediate removal without refund, and charges for damages/cleaning.
  • Noise restrictions: Must comply with local noise regulations at all times.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Allowed only in designated homes with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $200 fee + $500 cleaning fee; may require removal or termination without refund. Pets must meet all listing restrictions and be pre-treated for pests.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors; $300 smoke remediation fee.
  • Illegal activities: Any violation of laws or regulations is prohibited and may result in termination of stay.
  • Fireworks & firearms: Strictly prohibited at all times.
  • Fire/fireplace misuse: No burning wood in gas fireplaces. No roasting food in fireplaces. Unauthorized outdoor fires prohibited (fees apply).
  • EV charging: Prohibited unless specifically approved; $500 fine.

Equipment & Amenities

  • HVAC & utilities: Some homes may not have air conditioning; no refunds due to weather or lack of AC.
  • Internet/TV/phone: No refunds for outages or service issues. Pay-per-view is prohibited; charges will be billed if used. Long-distance calls must not be billed to the home.
  • Appliances & equipment: No refunds for malfunctions (TV, hot tub, appliances, etc.).
  • Equipment reporting: Issues must be reported promptly; repairs will be attempted but are not guaranteed.
  • Parking rules: Vehicle limits apply; some areas restrict motorcycles, RVs, or trailers. No roadside parking if prohibited.
  • Restricted areas: Locked closets/areas are off-limits.
  • Firewood: Available for purchase ($25/day) with 7-day advance notice.

Checkout & Care

  • Check-in: Begins at 4:00 PM (may vary up to 5:00 PM depending on home/season). No early check-in guarantees or compensation.
  • Checkout: By 10:00 AM.
  • Key return: $25 fee for lost keys.
  • Cleaning expectations: Leave the property in reasonable condition. Bag and dispose of trash, start dishwasher, and place used towels as instructed.
  • Furniture & home care: Maintain cleanliness and avoid unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
  • Supplies: Starter supplies only; additional items must be purchased by guests.
