Views of the water

Nestled in the embrace of the French Broad River and framed by the picturesque peaks of Mt. Pisgah, Cold Mountain, and Crabtree Bald, this Southern-style sanctuary offers more than just a place to rest your head. The sweeping Western views are nothing short of cinematic, a constantly evolving tableau of natural beauty that can be soaked in from virtually any corner of the property. Whether watching a mesmerizing sunset from the comfort of the covered back porch or capturing the mountains' grandeur through the home's towering floor-to-ceiling windows, this retreat serves as your personal window to the wilderness. Inside, the aura of serenity continues. Sunlight pours in through generous windows, casting a warm glow on a spacious, open floor plan designed with the utmost comfort in mind. Outdoor living spaces beckon at every turn: find your Zen with a yoga session on the stone patio, delve into a good book on the front porch swing, or engage in some friendly competition on the ample upper and lower yards. But the true pièce de résistance might just be the primary bedroom, where a stone gas fireplace and a luxurious jacuzzi tub set the stage for unbridled relaxation, all complemented by sprawling doors that lead to a stone patio with reclining outdoor chairs—another vantage point for those irresistible vistas. A gastronome’s paradise, the property boasts a fully-equipped kitchen perfect for cooking up a storm with loved ones. Choose between a cozy meal beside another gorgeous stone fireplace or a more formal setting in the elegant dining room. With five newly renovated guest rooms, each fitted with a TV and designed for ultimate comfort, rest assured that the beauty of the surrounding landscapes is rivaled only by the beauty of your accommodations. Capture the moments; they’re sure to be unforgettable.

Reviews

Brenda

Honestly, the most breathtaking view I have ever seen and this was in the summer. I can’t imagine the fall view. This home has everything you need including a well stocked kitchen, TVs in every bedroom, an office and a gorgeous outdoor fire pit. I felt like I was on a secluded mountain side yet location was only 7 miles from downtown Asheville. It was so easy to get to all the sights Asheville has to offer including the Biltmore House. Most enjoyable was just sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. I will be back!
