Beautiful house, amazing sunsets, incredible staff! Rafa made this trip so easy, he booked all transportation and excursions, dinner recommendations and helped immediately when things went awry! The staff was wonderful, made incredible breakfasts, cleaned and did laundry. The beach and sunsets are beautiful and Tamarindo a quick 5 minute golf cart away! This was a vacation of a lifetime!

No Refund: Reservations canceled 30 days or less before check-in are not eligible for a refund.

Things you need to know
Kindly note that Casa de Luz features dual staircases—one leading to the northern wing (Master Bedroom #3) and the other to the southern wing (Master Bedroom #4). To reach Center Upstairs Bedroom #5 and Center Upstairs Bedroom #6, use Master #3 or Master #4, since these central rooms don't have separate entrances. Additionally, both Master bedrooms can share their bathrooms with the central rooms.
We offer 100 Mbps of internet access throughout your home so if you need to work or navigate the internet, we have you covered! The house also has a backup battery for the modem & router, so you are always online uninterrupted. If you wish to request a portable wireless router, we can gladly have these available for you with an additional rental fee to keep you more connected.
Beach essentials, bathroom essentials, beach towels, extra pillows, and blankets are provided.

Guests & Occupancy
- Registered guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings; KEY is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
- Only guests included on the original reservation may access the property; outside visitors require prior approval.
Events & Noise
- Weddings, parties, and special events must receive prior approval before booking.
- Contact us in advance to coordinate approved events and connect with local event planners.
- Please respect neighboring residents by avoiding loud music, excessive noise, and disruptive late-night gatherings.
Prohibited Activities
- Pets are not permitted unless approved before booking.
- Smoking is prohibited inside the property; evidence of smoking will result in a $500 damage assessment.
- Bonfires, fireworks, and sky lanterns are prohibited due to Marine National Park regulations; fines may apply.
Equipment & Amenities
- HVAC settings: Turn off air conditioning and lights when not in use to conserve energy and support sustainability.
Liability & Disclaimers
- Injuries (pool, spa, hot tub): Swimming is not recommended during high tide; enjoy the tide pools during low tide at your own risk.
