Panoramic ocean views throughout, from three private decks. The home sits two blocks from the water in Bird Rock with unobstructed sightlines over Calumet Park to the Pacific from nearly every room — including the living area, master bedroom, and a dedicated lower deck.
Two blocks to Bird Rock Beach, with a staircase access route. The beach is reached via a staircase on the north side of the house down to Sea Ridge — a short but slightly indirect path rather than a straight street walk.
View deck with fire pit and outdoor dining for six. The main deck off the kitchen-living area includes a fire pit seating cluster and a barbecue, making it the natural anchor for evenings at the property.
Designer kitchen with high-end finishes. European oak floors, quartzite countertops, cherry cabinetry, and top-of-the-line appliances throughout — above average for a rental of this size.

Please be aware that this home has NO A/C. Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning, but rather locked screen doors & ceiling fans in all sleeping areas.

$5 group yoga at Calumet Park (across the street)on weekends.

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. The property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that you and our whole community can enjoy a restful night's sleep. We are dedicated to protecting our guests and neighbors from bothersome levels of noise. In an effort to do so, this property is equipped with NoiseAware technology. NoiseAware is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property.

All major and minor appliances are provided, as well as non-perishable spices and herbs that have usually been left by other guests.

Trash can liners, dish detergent, hand and body soap, dishwasher soap, kitchen sponge, paper products to start off your stay, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, broom, and basic cleaning items as well as bed linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided.

San Diego has an average temperature of about 70 degrees, so you should be fine in just about anything! If you are coming between November and May, it might be a good idea to pack a couple of warmer sweaters and a waterproof jacket as well…just in case. Things you might not think to bring, but should:

- Wetsuit (if you plan on surfing in the winter)

- Slippers

- Shampoo and Conditioner (we supply a small travel size)

- Saran wrap and foil for leftovers (some homes have these already – but only if left by others)

- Umbrella (rain)

- Playing Cards and Board Games

- Your Favorite books

- Ice Chest (for those long beach days)

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age Requirement: The primary guest must be at least 25 years old to book and must remain at the property for the duration of the stay.
  • Maximum Occupancy: Occupancy may not exceed the maximum number of guests allowed for the property, including infants and children.
  • Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, appliances, equipment, landscaping, or personal belongings during their stay. Guests must comply with all local laws, HOA rules, ordinances, and insurance-related restrictions.
  • Approved Use: Properties are intended for residential vacation use only. Subletting, assigning reservations, or allowing unauthorized occupants is prohibited.

Events & Noise

  • Parties, events, weddings, and large gatherings are prohibited unless approved in writing by property management prior to arrival.
  • Local noise ordinances are strictly enforced. Guests must be respectful of neighboring properties at all times. Excessive noise after 10:00 PM may result in law enforcement involvement, immediate termination of the reservation, removal from the property, and forfeiture of all remaining rental payments.

Prohibited Activities

  • Smoking: Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the home. Outdoor smoking is permitted only in designated exterior areas.
  • Pets: _(Pet-friendly homes only)_ Pets may not be left unattended if they create excessive noise or disturbances. Nuisance complaints may result in immediate termination of the reservation without refund.
  • Alcohol & Party Equipment: Kegs are not permitted on the property.
  • Vehicles & Camping: RVs, campers, and temporary camping accommodations are not permitted on the premises.

Equipment & Amenities

  • Heating & Air Conditioning: All homes include heating; however, only select properties offer air conditioning. Due to the moderate coastal climate, many homes rely on ocean breezes, open windows, ceiling fans, and portable fans for cooling. Additional fans may be available upon request. Unless specifically noted in the listing, homes should be assumed not to have air conditioning.
  • Utilities & Communications: Reservation pricing does not include transportation, meals, insurance, gratuities, personal expenses, or telephone charges. Some homes may include telephones limited to calls within the U.S. and Canada.
  • Equipment Reporting: Guests must promptly report any maintenance concerns, damages, or equipment malfunctions during their stay.
  • Property Access: Property management and authorized vendors may enter the property when necessary to complete repairs, maintenance, inspections, or emergency services. Reasonable efforts will be made to notify guests in advance whenever possible.
  • No Refunds for Malfunctions: Refunds will not be provided for temporary interruptions or failures involving utilities, internet, plumbing, appliances, heating, air conditioning, or other home systems beyond management’s control.

  • Check-In & Check-Out: Standard check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance.
