The heart of the cabin is its expansive great room, where 21-foot ceilings and three large scissor trusses create a sense of grandeur, complemented by a stacked stone gas fireplace and a 65-inch television. 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, sleeps 14 — and the layout genuinely works for large groups. Two king ensuites on the lower level, a king ensuite with deck access on the ground level, a bunk room (queen over queen plus a full trundle), and a theater/game room that functions as its own retreat. The ground-level primary has a body spray shower panel; the lower level has 9.5-foot ceilings throughout.
The great room is a standout space. Twenty-one foot ceilings, stacked stone gas fireplace, 65-inch TV, and a 12-foot kitchen island that seats six. It's an unusually generous main living footprint for a mountain rental at this price tier.
Private 7-person hot tub on the lower deck, plus a gas fire table on the upper deck. Two distinct outdoor levels means the group doesn't have to share the same space — the decks are oriented to the long-range layered mountain views.
The entertainment setup is extensive. A dedicated theater room and a 600-square-foot game room with shuffleboard, pool table, and foosball on the lower level. Worth factoring in if you're booking for a group that wants to stay in.
The kitchen is genuinely well-stocked. Multiple reviews specifically call out the KitchenAid mixer, Instant Pot, and full range of cooking equipment — this is a kitchen people actually cook in. A 48-inch refrigerator and stove complete the picture.
The access road requires 4WD. The driveway is steep and gravel; 4WD or chains are strongly recommended November–April and advised year-round. Ubers won't make it up in winter weather — plan accordingly if your group isn't all arriving by car.
Starter supplies are well-stocked by cabin standards, but plan for groceries. Downtown Boone is only 10 minutes away, making a supply run easy. KEY.co can also arrange delivery to the property before you arrive if you'd like to skip it.

Things you need to know

We provide a starter set of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags that is good for one or two nights. But if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

Hot tubs are professionally serviced between rentals.

Security Cameras are used to monitor the exterior of the home. No cameras are pointed inside or near the hot tub.

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age requirements: Primary guest must be at least 25 years old and must remain on-site for the full stay.
  • Maximum occupancy: Occupancy limits (including children) must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Guest accountability: The booking guest is responsible for all occupants, compliance with rules, and any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized guests: $25 per person per day for exceeding occupancy; may result in immediate removal.
  • Approved use of property: Use is limited to vacation purposes unless prior written approval is obtained. Subletting or assignment is not permitted without written approval.

Events & Noise

  • Events & gatherings: Not permitted without prior written approval; unauthorized events may result in fines, immediate removal without refund, and charges for damages/cleaning.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Allowed only in designated homes with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $200 fee + $500 cleaning fee; may require removal or termination without refund. Pets must meet all listing restrictions and be pre-treated for pests.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors; $300 smoke remediation fee.
