KEY Curation Notes

Closest rental to Great Camp's main amenity hub. Walking distance to the amphitheater, mini-golf, sports fields, hiking trails, ropes course, Epic Chophouse, and the 24/7 general store — the most convenient position on the mountain for access to Eagles Nest's community amenities.
The design is a genuine step up from typical mountain rentals. Built in 2023 with a floating staircase, marble tile fireplace surround, loft with glass railing, soaring ceilings, heated floors in the bathrooms and lower level, and Grandfather Mountain views from the main living area, dining room, and primary suite.
Three floors give large groups real separation. Three king ensuites on the main and upper levels; the lower level runs a kitchenette with wine cooler, 75" media room with surround sound, pool table, foosball, a bunk room with bath, and two queen bedrooms sharing a bath. The hot tub is off the lower deck outside the game room.
The primary suite is the standout bedroom. King bed, walk-in closet, dual shower, bidets, and a heated soaking tub with a direct view of Grandfather Mountain.
The wrap-around deck faces south toward Sugar Mountain. Outdoor gas log fireplace with TV, large grill, dining table, cornhole, and ample seating — reviewers consistently call it one of the best outdoor spaces in the community.
Not pet-friendly. Worth noting for groups traveling with dogs, given that several other Eagles Nest properties do accommodate them.
Starter supplies are minimal. Stock up in Banner Elk before heading up. KEY.co can arrange grocery delivery to the property ahead of your arrival.

Neighborhood: Eagles Nest - Perfectly located at a walking distance from the most desirable great camp amenity area next to the Tee Pee Village at the Eagles Nest. - Located at 4500 feet elevation, this sunny south-facing home is within a couple of minutes walk to the great camp and less than 10 minutes drive to the main entrance. Automated store at the Great Camp to purchase forgotten essential items is a few minutes’ walk.

Parking information

- Porte Cochere for dry entry in the house. Spacious parking and easy turnaround. - Private ATVs are not permitted in the community and will be denied entry at the gates.

Getting to the property

The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required from November to March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.

Wonderful home and great location in Eagle's Nest! Easy access to the Dollar General and Great Camp. Close enough to the front gate but still high in elevation. Plenty of room for an extended family retreat with ideal outdoor living space. The large deck has mountain views looking South toward Sugar. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Things you need to know

The North Pavilion is host to several summer parties, including a Fourth of July celebration and concerts, which guests are more than welcome to attend; however, in the event there is a wedding or other private party, guests are not allowed in or near the Sportsmans Lodge.

Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)

The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there may be an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.

All linens and towels provided for your stay.

All Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious amenities.

Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

Please note that the owners of this home use security cameras to monitor the exterior of their home to ensure it remains safe when unoccupied. Camera 1 is on right of entry door facing the driveway entrance. Camera 2 is on the back cover porch facing onto the road. No cameras are aimed at the bedrooms, doors, or windows.

The property is set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a STARTER SET of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

We provide one towel and washcloth per person that each respective house accommodates, plus a few extra towels if there is a hot tub. The beds are made up with clean linens (except bunks, sleepers, and futons, but linens are provided on site). If you routinely use two towels after bathing, you may need to bring some of your own.

This home comes equipped with a basic set of cookware, sufficient plates & silverware for the occupancy of the home, and basic serving and baking dishes. Most homes do not have unusual items such as crockpots or blenders, so if you’re planning a dish that requires an unusual item, it is best to bring that from your home.

This home is not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items, including plastic wrap or foil.

Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.

Guests & Occupancy

  • Age requirements: Primary guest must be at least 25 years old and must remain on-site for the full stay.
  • Maximum occupancy: Occupancy limits (including children) must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Guest accountability: The booking guest is responsible for all occupants, compliance with rules, and any damages beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized guests: $25 per person per day for exceeding occupancy; may result in immediate removal.
  • Approved use of property: Use is limited to vacation purposes unless prior written approval is obtained. Subletting or assignment is not permitted without written approval.

Events & Noise

  • Events & gatherings: Not permitted without prior written approval; unauthorized events may result in fines, immediate removal without refund, and charges for damages/cleaning.
  • Noise restrictions: Must comply with local noise regulations at all times.

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Allowed only in designated homes with prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Unauthorized pets: $200 fee + $500 cleaning fee; may require removal or termination without refund. Pets must meet all listing restrictions and be pre-treated for pests.
  • Smoking/vaping: Strictly prohibited indoors; $300 smoke remediation fee.
  • Illegal activities: Any violation of laws or regulations is prohibited and may result in termination of stay.
  • Fireworks & firearms: Strictly prohibited at all times.
  • Fire/fireplace misuse: No burning wood in gas fireplaces. No roasting food in fireplaces. Unauthorized outdoor fires prohibited (fees apply).
  • EV charging: Prohibited unless specifically approved; $500 fine.

Equipment & Amenities

  • HVAC & utilities: Some homes may not have air conditioning; no refunds due to weather or lack of AC.
  • Internet/TV/phone: No refunds for outages or service issues. Pay-per-view is prohibited; charges will be billed if used. Long-distance calls must not be billed to the home.
  • Appliances & equipment: No refunds for malfunctions (TV, hot tub, appliances, etc.).
  • Equipment reporting: Issues must be reported promptly; repairs will be attempted but are not guaranteed.
  • Parking rules: Vehicle limits apply; some areas restrict motorcycles, RVs, or trailers. No roadside parking if prohibited.
  • Restricted areas: Locked closets/areas are off-limits.
  • Firewood: Available for purchase ($25/day) with 7-day advance notice.

Checkout & Care

  • Check-in: Begins at 4:00 PM (may vary up to 5:00 PM depending on home/season). No early check-in guarantees or compensation.
  • Checkout: By 10:00 AM.
  • Key return: $25 fee for lost keys.
  • Cleaning expectations: Leave the property in reasonable condition. Bag and dispose of trash, start dishwasher, and place used towels as instructed.
