KEY Curation Notes

Set directly on Barnstable Harbor with its own private beach, the water is steps from the door rather than a drive away. The bay-side beach reveals wide sand flats at low tide for walking and tide-pooling, with swimming best around the higher tides.
The standout spaces are the views. A rooftop deck off the second level opens across the harbor to Sandy Neck Lighthouse and the sunsets, while the recently remodeled, open-concept kitchen and living area carry those water views through to both indoor and outdoor dining.
Beach and yard gear is fully stocked. Kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach towels are provided, along with a town beach pass for the nearby public beaches. A ping pong table, cornhole, a gas grill, and a wood fire pit round out the outdoor time.
Five bedrooms sleep eleven, with two private primary suites: a queen on the main level and a king upstairs, each with its own en-suite bath. The remaining three bedrooms share a second-floor full bath and run a mix of queen, bunk, and twin layouts that suit most group setups.
Everything is walkable to Barnstable Harbor. Mattakeese Wharf, a fish market, and whale-watch boats are about five minutes on foot, and Barnstable Village adds more dining, a market, and a coffee shop. Hyannis is a ten-minute drive from the Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard ferries and the JFK Museum.
Peak-season stays run Saturday to Saturday on a seven-night minimum.

Parking information

During peak hours at town beaches, parking stickers are required. Of course, most of our properties are directly on or within easy walking distance of private, neighborhood association beaches, so no pass is required. For those properties that aren’t right on or within walking distance, a pass is necessary. You can stop by the town offices to pick up a weekly pass or pay per visit. Beach passes are issued by vehicle and are not transferable.

Reviews

Thea

Three family groups gathered at the practically perfect Sunset Lane house for a week of memory-making. From the well-stocked kitchen to comfortable furniture (inside and out) to the thoughtfully arranged art on the walls, we had an exceptional time. Morning coffee and evening snacks and cocktails in Adirondack chairs were all the more special thanks to the constant activity of nature in Barnstable Harbor. Martin and his team were communicative and responsive to my many pings as we got settled into our stay. One last thank you to Matt for delivering the new paddleboard paddles so we could play in the water!
