Two of the best fine dining restaurants in the entire High Country are less than five minutes away: The Gamekeeper and The Table at Crestwood (reservations recommended at both.) - All of the best High Country attractions are within a short and scenic drive away, including Tweetsie Railroad (20 minutes), Valle Crucis (15 minutes), the town of Banner Elk (25 minutes), Grandfather Mountain (30 minutes), Sugar Mountain (25 minutes), and Ski Beech (40 minutes).

This house was everything we could have hoped for, and more!!! There was a space for anything our 16-member family needed. One group could be sitting on the screened porch or the huge deck while another was gathered in the kitchen/dining area, and another was playing games in the living room, or pool in the downstairs living area, or golf in the practice room, or watching a movie in the theatre -- even enjoying the hot tub in the cool night air. Or, we could all be gathered in one space for family activities. Perfect! Thank you for making our family vacation so memorable! Note to potential renters: Guests in the twin room and queen room upstairs have to enter and exit through the king room to use the upstairs bath and living area. Otherwise, they must enter and exit by the back stairs and use a small bathroom off the garage.

Things you need to know

Well-stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals.

There is a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple of garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.

Towels and linens will be provided.

This home is equipped with devices that monitor the environment inside the property and outside on the deck (including noise levels, temperature, and motion) to ensure guests have a pleasant stay and our neighbors are not disturbed.

Air conditioning is on the bottom-most and upper-most floors only. The main level and level directly below the main have mini-split air conditioning in the kitchen and pool table areas only.

Guests will have access to the entire unit and all amenities within.

Restrictions

  • Minimum nights of stay vary by time of year.
  • Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a fire starter for $25/night plus tax
  • This home is not pet-friendly. Thank you for not bringing any pets or requesting an exception to this rule.
  • There is a very strict outside noise ordinance at 10:00 pm each day as per the neighborhood. All guests are expected to keep conversations at normal levels and not play music outside after 10:00 pm. Violators will be evicted without a refund. Remember that sound carries for long distances in the mountains due to our geography!
  • Events with vendors or other large gatherings are strictly prohibited at this property. Violators will be evicted from the property with no refund.
  • All equipment in the unit should be in working order. Please immediately report any equipment problems to the office.
  • If you are not satisfied with the housekeeping upon arrival, please notify our office immediately. If the office is closed, please use the after-hours number provided in your arrival packet. We will send a housekeeper as quickly as possible. No Refunds will be granted for unsatisfactory housekeeping, but every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate your needs.
  • Please be aware that certain communities have strict standards regarding the number of vehicles at a property. Some areas may not allow motorcycles, RVs, or trailers. You must adhere to these regulations at all times during your stay.
  • Any locked closets or other locked areas are reserved for the storage of Owners’ private property. They are not included in this rental.
  • Agent is not responsible for items left in rental units. In the event that Tenant leaves behind items of utmost importance, Agent will attempt to retrieve and return items at Tenant’s expense, but such retrieval cannot and will not be guaranteed.
  • Tenant understands that Property is a privately owned vacation rental home and is not intended to serve as an event venue. If the Tenant wishes to hold any form of celebration, gathering, reunion, or other event at the Property, the Tenant must first seek written permission from the Agent before the reservation will be accepted or confirmed.
