Neighborhood: Quepos Canton - This home is tucked away a short drive from the picturesque village of Uvita and overlooks the hills and beaches of Marino Ballena National Park. The park is home to almost 10 miles of pristine beaches, including the world-famous Whale's Tail, an enormous sandbar that stretches out into the water and surfaces in the shape of a whale's tail at low tide. (You might actually spot some real whales too!) This beautiful home up in the hills overlooking the Pacific did not disappoint! The pictures on the website don't do justice to the actual beauty of the home and it's surroundings. The road is an adventure but not overly difficult. The deck that wraps around the house on all sides is amazing and we found ourselves out there most of the time, taking in the amazing scenery and also spotting the wildlife including toucan's, hawks, parakeet's, butterflies and monkeys to name a few. The deck also has overhangs so you can sit out in the rain and not get wet and enjoy your evening meal after a wonderful day exploring the area. Many beaches are close by as are many wonderful restaurants. The market in town has a great assortment of items and with the wonderfully supplied kitchen you can make great meals and enjoy them while watching the sunset. We would definitely stay here again, it was probably our favorite place we have stayed ever!
