We've reviewed thousands of homes and approve only the best. Each one is professionally managed and vetted for comfort and style, raising the bar for every stay.

KEY Curation Notes

The largest footprint we've seen at Eagles Nest. Over 6,350 square feet across four levels with five king master suites (each with private bath) and two custom-built quad bunk rooms with personal charging stations — purpose-built for two to five families traveling together. The in-law suite has its own kitchenette, dining area, and private balcony, giving one group genuine separation from the rest of the house.
Kitchen is a serious upgrade over the category standard. A 48" Viking range anchors the gourmet kitchen; a separate scullery with an additional refrigerator handles overflow prep and storage. Indoor dining seats 12 at the main table with fold-up overflow available, plus a covered outdoor dining table for 10.
Two gathering floors. The main level has a two-story great room with gas fireplace and a keeping room with its own gas fireplace. The full lower level runs an 85" TV, two stand-up arcade games, three video game consoles, foosball, air hockey, and ping pong — a dedicated space that keeps kids occupied without pulling from the main living areas.
Hot tub is high-end. An 8-person Bullfrog Spa with embedded lighting and a sound system, on the deck. A wood-burning exterior fireplace with gas starter and a large fire pit are also on the grounds.
Two-minute walk to Great Camp. One of the closest property to the community's main amenity hub — amphitheater, Epic Chophouse, mini-golf, hiking trails, and the 24/7 general store are essentially at the door. No driving back up the mountain after evening events.
Infrastructure built for extended stays. Whole-home generator, fiber optic internet with backup Starlink, dual washers and dryers, EV charger in the garage, a dedicated workspace with desk and printer, and an exercise room with weight bench.
Winter access requires AWD or 4WD. No weather refunds. Construction noise possible 7am–7pm Monday through Saturday.
Starter supplies are minimal. Stock up in Banner Elk before arriving. KEY.co can arrange grocery delivery to the property ahead of your stay.

Reviews

Amelia

Everything was absolutely wonderful! We had such a great time and truly appreciated how much space there was, perfect for our group of four families. It never felt crowded, and everyone was able to relax and enjoy themselves. The views were incredible, and the home was so comfortable, especially the beds and couches! I even found myself checking for a label on the couches because I’d love to have one back in Florida 😊 We also loved how convenient everything was, especially having the Dollar General nearby, it came in handy more than once! From our perspective, you really thought of everything. Definitely a 10/10 experience and we would absolutely love to come back! Thank you again for such a lovely stay!

Things you need to know

The North Pavilion is host to several summer parties, including a Fourth of July celebration and concerts, which guests are more than welcome to attend; however, in the event there is a wedding or other private party, guests are not allowed in or near the Sportsman's Lodge. Weddings or other events are not permitted at the property. No exceptions will be made.

All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.

Eagles Nest is an up-and-coming community, with construction currently going on in several of its neighborhoods. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday.

Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)

The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there may be an admission fee for each person and a cash bar for food and drinks.

All linens and towels provided for your stay.

This homeowner uses outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure their home stays safe. No cameras monitor the inside of the home or the hot tub area.

All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

Firewood may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night plus tax.

The property is set up for light housekeeping, including linens and towels. We provide a STARTER SET of toilet tissue, paper towels, bath toiletries, dish soap, and trash bags. This is enough for one or two nights, but if you are staying for an extended length of time, you should plan to bring some supplies from home or plan to purchase these items at a grocery store when you arrive.

We provide one towel and washcloth per person that each respective house accommodates, plus a few extra towels if there is a hot tub. The beds are made up with clean linens (except bunks, sleepers, and futons, but linens are provided on site). If you routinely use two towels after bathing, you may need to bring some of your own.

This home comes equipped with a basic set of cookware, sufficient plates & silverware for the occupancy of the home, and basic serving and baking dishes. Most homes do not have unusual items such as crockpots or blenders, so if you’re planning a dish that requires an unusual item, it is best to bring that from your home.

This home is not stocked with cooking oils or spices, hairdryers, condiments, coffee, coffee filters, or food storage items, including plastic wrap or foil.
