Prominently sited on Shoestring Bay in Mashpee with sensational water views from nearly every room — is a quiet, exceptionally private waterfront setting on one of the Cape's most coveted inner bays, far removed from the summer crowds while remaining close to Falmouth, Osterville, and the Mashpee Commons area.

Private dock accommodating a boat up to 22 feet, plus four kayaks included — direct water access is the defining feature. Shoestring Bay connects to Popponessett Bay and beyond, making this a genuine boater's base as well as a paddler's haven.

All four bedrooms are en-suite — the main-floor primary king suite has a gas fireplace, private patio, walk-in closet, and an exquisite bathroom. A second primary suite on the upper floor offers equally elevated finishes. The remaining two bedrooms each have private baths. Four and a half baths total for eight occupants is an unusually favorable ratio.

Waterside solarium with sliders to the deck, gas fireplace living room, and gourmet kitchen — the interior is built around the water view, with multiple distinct spaces for sitting, dining, and gathering. Gas grill, fire pit, outdoor shower, beach towels, chairs, and a beach pass for all Barnstable area beaches are all included.

No pool — the bay, dock, kayaks, and solarium living are the draw. A beach pass covers Craigville, Dowses, and other Barnstable beaches, all a short drive away.

The house was exactly what we hoped it would be. Our only issue is for the amount we paid for several weeks, there should have been a weekly cleaning service included with the house.
